My biggest surprise, as people have asked, is how naturally it has felt to be Brielle's mommy, and how much my heart desires to be the best for her knowing the sacrifice that so many have made to bring her to earth and to our home.
The waiting has paid off, every sleepless night over the past years with tear-stained pillows, empty arms, and longing for motherhood all make sense as I wake up to her cry and hold her in my arms at night. Brielle is a miracle to so many, she has saved us, given us hope and allowed us to define our lives as we've prayed. She gives us something worth living for, and is the gift we could have never received if not for our birth mom's courage to place her with us. We give our Heavenly Father praise and thanks everyday for this miracle in our life.

Congrats, she is beautiful! What a lucky little lady she is to have so many people who love her including some awesome parents! Those first 2 weeks are magical and fly by, looks like you soaked it all up though ;) so happy for you both.
